"Originally from the south-west of France, I moved to Ireland and have lived here since 2004. No need to mention my age but I started to play tennis as a young child . I got involved to help out with coaching in my own small club and qualified later as teenager to be able to coach for summer jobs in some children's summer camp resorts. I competed in many tournaments across France and Ireland and succeed to win some titles in single, doubles and teams events. Unfortunately due to an injury I had to stop playing for many years
Tennis in Ireland is a very popular sport and we can see many more clubs developing with great facilities . I am not a full time coach but still give lots of time to coaching for different clubs around “Birr Wilmer Tennis Club” which is my original club. Today I have a special interest in the “Enjoy Tennis” program for players with disability. Tennis is a very complete sport which needs a lot of physical and mental skills. We are all capable to learn them at our own pace. Tennis is a great sport. Everybody should have the opportunity to play that sport so as a coach it is my goal to give that opportunity. I believe that our “tennis style reflects our personality".
Merci
